Man Allegedly Confessed To Murder Of BACKYARD BURIAL Frontman
April 18, 2011According to Stuff.co.nz, a man who confessed to the brutal murder of the lead singer of one of New Zealand's longest-running death metal bands, BACKYARD BURIAL, was killed by a train hours after being questioned by detectives.
Police were warned that Timothy Parlane, who once sang for fellow death metal band BULLETBELT, was suicidal and the woman to whom he confessed pleaded for him to be given help.
Parlane told the woman he went to Hall's house with two knives and stabbed him.
"I told them I was seriously concerned for his mental health," the woman told The Dominion Post. "I feel that he was absolutely let down by the system," she said.
BACKYARD BURIAL frontman Matthew John Hall, 35, who went by the stage name "Blaps Warmonger", was found dead with multiple stab wounds by his roommate at his Wellington apartment on February 15.
BACKYARD BURIAL released its debut album, titled "Symptoms Of Psychopathology", in 1999.
